At the conclusion of its visit to the Gaza Strip, Dr. Yousef Abu Rish the undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Health receives the (TPFS).

Dr. Yousef Abu Rish, the undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip receives the delegation of the society who visited Gaza Strip last week, carried out a number of activities, including participation in a research paper presented by Dr.Bashar Al-Karimi, president of the society at the second international conference on chronic diseases organized by Medical Relief, and a number of visit to educational, official and civil institutions with the aim of consolidating the prospect of cooperation.

The delegation was represented by Dr. Bashar Al-Karimi, the president of the society, was briefed on the agents sympathy with situation of the Thalassemia patients challenges faced by them due to the lack of treatments, and the importance of training and continuous education service providers for patients. And Dr. Bayan Al-Saqa the representative of the society in the Gaza Strip stressed on the importance of organizing the work through the establishment of the Thalassemia unit in the Turkish Friendship Hospital, and was accompanied by the Mr. Ahmed Ayyash Executive Director and Mr. Ibrahim Abdullah coordinator of the socirty.

In his turn, welcomed Dr. Abu Rish in the delegation appreciated the joint collaboration to serve the patients, stressing the Ministry’s constant pursuit of improvement and development within the available possibilities, he stressed the importance of continuous follow-up through communication channels with the Ministry, in order to develop and through discussion about the reality of the patients, Dr. Abu Rish to present a proposal to improve health services and holistic health, and show strengths and weaknesses points to focus on the work to achieve a quality of life for Thalassemia patients.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al-karimi thanked Dr. Abu Rish for cooperation and initiative in the development of health services, referring to the treatment protocols, and the preparation of the permanent Society and through the colleagues in  Gaza and the representative of the society Dr. Bayan Al-Saqa, to cooperate in order to achieve desired objectives.
