Ramallah- TPFS, through the support of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, conducted an advanced training course targeting 26 male/ female health educators in the West Bank Governorate to increase awareness about Thalassemia patients needs.

The training course came as part of developing the Society's activities and was conducted at City Inn hotel in Ramallah for two days with a total of 14 training hours.

The training that was delivered by Mr. Ala' Halaiqa and Mr. Mahmoud Hreibat, tackled basic concepts in the field of negotiating and conflict resolution. Additionally, the training addressed the issue of utilizing social media as a tool to affect public opinion. The first session of the second day focused on developing leadership skills and teamwork skills as well as planning, where the session included developing the operational plans by patients themselves through the supervision and support of the TPFS executive director, Mr. Ahmad Ayyash

The two days training course included some psycho- social support activities delivered by  psychologist  Mrs. Mirna Awad Jaraisa to help patients overcome the treatment and social challenges they face to generate the experience among other patients with Patient to Patient methodology that TPFS applies.
