The Association of Friends of Thalassemia Patients - Palestine has carried out its awareness and social activities on the reality of Thalassemia in Palestine until 2015 in Gaza within the framework of the program to combat Thalassemia in Palestine, in order to raise public awareness about ways to prevent the spread of the disease through organizing educational and medical campaigns for all segments of society The next youth group to marry, and work to provide psychosocial support to the patient of Thalassemia to be a more effective person in society.

The Association of Friends of Thalassemia Patients - Palestine has carried out its awareness and social activities on the reality of Thalassemia in Palestine until 2015 in Gaza within the framework of the program to combat Thalassemia in Palestine, in order to raise public awareness about ways to prevent the spread of the disease through organizing educational and medical campaigns for all segments of society The next youth group to marry, and work to provide psychosocial support to the patient of Thalassemia to be a more effective person in society.

A scientific day was held under the slogan "Towards Palestine free of new thalassemia births" in collaboration with Al-Azhar University and a training course on life skills to raise awareness of Thalassemia. The seminar targeted the students of the Islamic University and Al-Azhar University, in cooperation with the General Administration of School Health in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. (21) training hours. An active group of volunteers was formed to support Thalassemia patients in Gaza. In addition, a training course entitled "Empowerment, Capacity Building and Lobbying and Advocacy Campaign" was organized within the program of empowering the Youth Council for Thalassemia in Gaza, with (45) training hours. In addition, psychological and social support sessions were provided for Thalassemia patients under 18 years of age. A workshop on the reality of thalassemia in Palestine was held in cooperation with the Bar Association with the support of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development through the Islamic Development Bank- Jeddah, Pecdar.
In cooperation with partner institutions in Gaza, joint cooperation agreements have been signed with the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, the Emaar Development and Rehabilitation Association and the Deaf Children Association to improve and enhance the services provided to Thalassemia patients in the Gaza Strip.

For its part, the family of the Friends of Thalassemia-Palestine Society extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to all the partner institutions and support in the implementation of the Thalassemia program and the trainers for their success in all the exercises held in Gaza.
