Thalassemia Patients Friends Society continue at International Day of solidarity with Thalassemia Patients.

Nablus/ Thalassemia Patients Friends Society complements events to celebrate the International Day of solidarity with Thalassemia Patients, the Assembly with Sub-committee Women’s Group and the support of male and female volunteers of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society Youth Community Centre in Nablus organized sports and recreational activity to children patients governorates.

Patients and their relatives gathered at Hamdi Menko stadium as the sports events in which the attendees participated began with the  organization of volunteers from the Youth Centre.

Ahmad Ayyash, Executive Director of the society expressed in the course of  speaking  to attend about his happiness in meeting patients and their families in this days’ events and he thanked male and female volunteers from the Youth Centre in Medical Relief for their permanent partners with the Youth Council, and special thanks to professor Noor Hendia, coordinator of the Centre for her cooperation, he also praised Hamdi Menko center’s response to the Society request to receive patients.

Attendees later met at Jammal Abdel Nasser park to provide hospitality and gifts for children, as the Thalassemia Patients Youth Council, which was present at the celebration raised donations in kind to provide gifts to all child patients and share their joy.

The colleague Mona Abu shmat, Mental Health Program Officers, listened on the sidelines of this meeting to mothers and accompaniments of patients about children’s health, social behaviors and preparations are ongoing implementation of these activities in the rest of the country’s  governorates.
