Gaza/ Thalassemia Patients Friends Society (TPFS) participates in a workshop on the lack of medicines and medical equipment.
The Palestinian center for human rights organized a workshop entitled “Medical devices and medicines in the Gaza strip, chronic shortages and serious repercussions” .
The Society and the Youth council of Thalassemia patients in Gaza attended this workshop, and colleague Ibraheem Abdullah gave an intervention explanation of the situation of Thalassemia patients and their medical and pharmacological needs, especially after the transfer of 236 patients to the Turkish Friendship Hospital, and for his part, Dr. Saja Fatiha, coordinator of medical projects in the Medical Relief Society, spoke on the reality of Thalassemia patients in the Gaza Strip, noting that 304 patients with Thalassemia suffer from a lack of medicines, filters and vitamins, and fatiha noted that the lack of medications leads to an increase in Iron in the body of the Thalassemia patients, this leads to health problems experienced by Thalassemia patients and sometimes leads to death.
