The Thalassemia Patients Friends’ Society (TPFS) is on an official visit to Martyr Thabet Thabet Hospital-Tulkarm.

The society’s team, led by Ms. Jihad Abu Ghosh, the secretary, and Ms. Elham Shamasneh Um Al-Naji, a member of the administration, along with the executive team and a number of patients represented by the Thalassemia Youth Council, visited the Martyr Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarm. The team was received by the hospital director, Dr. Amen Khader. During the visit, the team was briefed on various issues related to the treatment unit and its impact on the health of patients. Medical tests indicated a general increase in iron accumulation levels among patients, requiring direct intervention. Additionally, the unit faced congestion due to the relocation of the oncology clinic to one of the department facilities.

Dr. Amen Khader indicated that the situation within the department and the presence of an oncology clinic are only temporary, and he also stated some changes that will take place soon, the most important of which is the appointment of a special doctor to follow up on the treatment unit and to emphasize the application of therapeutic protocols.
